Homecoming 2014

Titans traveled from far and wide to participate in the annual tradition of Homecoming on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Titan pride filled the campus as alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents and members of the campus community convened for this fun family-oriented event.

Homecoming 2014 boasted a pre-game festival with activities inciting a spirit of Titan pride to cheer on the men’s basketball team in their game against the University of Hawaii Warriors. More than 1,000 Titans attended the pre-game festival and participated in its array of activities, including a bubble race, photo booth, carnival games and street painting by alumna Julie Kirk Purcell ’05.  Guests enjoyed a SoCal favorite meal from one of the event’s proud sponsors, In-N-Out.   Performances by student groups SPICA (South Pacific Islander Cultural Association), Ballet Folklorico and the spirit squad entertained the crowd. New to this year’s event was a VIP Beer Garden hosted at the Alumni House.

Perhaps the most anticipated event of Homecoming 2014 was the Titans vs. Hawaii basketball game which garnered 3,017 attendees. The men’s basketball team came prepared for battle, giving their all and coming up just shy of a victory, ending in a close three point defeat by Hawaii.
