Gregory X. Whitmore ’13 (M.M. music-performance) was invited to be in residence and guest-conduct the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music Wind Ensemble. He also was invited to serve as conductor of high school honor bands in the Garden Grove and Murrieta school districts.

Whitmore premiered two new works for winds in his role as music director of the Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble and one new composition in his role as conductor of the CSU Fullerton Symphonic Winds.

In addition, Whitmore presented research at the 2022 International Society of Music Education’s 35th World Conference and at the California All-State Music Education Conference in Fresno.
