Dan Slater ’85 (B.A. business administration-finance) was elected mayor of Orange. A fourth-generation resident of the city, Slater has worked as a residential real estate broker at Orange Realty Inc., was president of the Old Towne Preservation Association and led the Orange Chamber of Commerce.
Rick Barnett ’85 (MBA-marketing) was appointed chairman of the board of directors for SeaStar Medical Holding Corp., a medical technology company developing proprietary solutions to reduce the consequences of hyperinflammation on vital organs.
Lori Butler ’85 (B.A. communications) was named chief development and marketing officer for Lutheran Social Services of Southern California. Butler will oversee the nonprofit’s fundraising, marketing and donor development, including a capital and building campaign for a Community Wellness Center in San Bernardino.
